🇺🇸 Work & Travel USA Summer
Easy job! It's good for your mental health. It's like the first step on the ladder to getting the opportunity to set foot in the United States.

Nong Chaiyo, a Filipino master's student from Siam University.

🧳~ Work ~
💵 Total income $15,000 USD, solo work. Disclaimer.
The job rate is $15.25 USD per hour (depending on the location assigned by your supervisor).
🏊🏻‍♀️ Position: Lifeguard and pool operator
💦 🏝️ My employer is Sunset Pool Management, with branches in 3 states: Washington DC, Virginia, and Maryland.
I have three supervisors. They are kind and always try to support, advise, and give me generous working hours. Some weeks I get to work 12 hours, 7 days a week.

All of this is based on my personal experience! 💪🏻

🌟 US Sponsor AWA
♥️ ~ MPLC Agent ~ The staff were great, providing excellent service. Everything was explained clearly and without false promises. The program fees were reasonable. During my time traveling and living in the US, they offered helpful advice and guidance on various issues I encountered.

👦🏻 🇹🇭 🇸🇽 I am a student (Siam University, Master's degree) and a Filipino who grew up in Thailand for 25 years. I want to fulfill my dream of living my youth in America.

☑️ The job duties are mostly related to maintaining the cleanliness and order of the swimming pool. Generally, the company hires us to supervise, monitor chemical levels, and provide services to residents. This mainly involves checking chemical levels hourly and adjusting them as needed for residents to swim safely. (The supervisor only requires hourly chemical checks and adjustments to meet Ministry of Public Health standards.)

🏡 Home
Housing $185 USD bi-weekly
The company arranged for employees to live with suitable people. I shared an apartment with three Thai roommates. The apartment was comfortable and close to shopping malls and convenience stores like Giant Target.

travel
🚲 It depends on the person, but I rented a bicycle to ride around the city. The atmosphere was perfect for cycling.

~ Key tips 👌🏻 ~
I joined before May 2025, had the opportunity to train as a lifeguard, and started working before others. During this time, I've accumulated a lot of work hours and am earning very good money.

✅ In my year, there was a period when more J1 interns joined. During that time, our working hours might be reduced, but never below the contract amount. Also, if we had a good relationship with the company and our supervisors, and we could maintain that relationship, they would be willing to increase our hours, such as filling in for absentees or filling in for positions at different locations that were short-staffed.

🍱 We can receive rice and other ingredients from the church. If you are a member of the church or live near one, you can pick up rice and other supplies. This helps reduce food expenses on some days, meaning I don't need to pay for food or go to the supermarket at all because I have everything I need every week.

🦅 American life is orchestrated by you - Living in America is a life you create yourself. 🥰

Living life
🌍 If you grew up with American culture, appreciate kind, friendly people, great colleagues, and get to know clients who live in condos with pools, and enjoy an all-American lifestyle and activities, then you'll definitely love this place. I loved the city I visited; it's beautiful, clean, easy to get around, and there's so much to do. If you like a city atmosphere but without the hustle and bustle of New York, I highly recommend it.

🏀 For me, who loves playing basketball and enjoys self-improvement, in America I've learned to take better care of myself, appreciated life and the people around me more. I feel like I've become more quick-witted and enthusiastic than before. The people here are really good at basketball and incredibly tall!

⛪️ As a Roman Catholic, living in America has allowed me to fully embrace my faith, both spiritually and practically.

💵 Initially, managing money was challenging because I constantly had to convert Thai baht to US dollars, which was quite troublesome. However, over time, I adapted, learned to manage my money better, and began to appreciate the value of money more.

The most important thing I learned is that sometimes we have to sacrifice fun or our old image in exchange for opportunities to work and earn money, which helps us understand life better.

If you come here solely with the intention of "making money," you might easily get stressed. But for me, once I started balancing work and life, I was able to adapt and live more happily.

This trip to America has truly been the answer to everything in my life, especially if you're someone who wants to improve yourself, learn, and grow. You shouldn't miss this place.

✨ It was an amazing experience, like living in a movie, especially when I came to Washington D.C. I felt like I had stepped into a film, immersing myself in it. Everyone smiled through their tears and felt at ease every time I traveled. I got to visit important landmarks with my own eyes for the first time in my life.
I was especially moved to see the White House up close.
