Student visa procedure

MPLC Thailand assists in applying for a US student Visa guidance through all procedures and documentation of the visa application until preparing for the interview, for example responding to personal history questions, educational record and goals in life after graduation without any service charge.

 

Steps to apply for a US student visa

  1. Prepare documents for applying for a Student visa F-1

  2. Pay the visa application fee as specified by the embassy. Currently $160 at Bank of Ayudhya * MPLC can help with the registration process. But applicants need to go to the bank to pay by themselves.

  3. Pay SEVIS Fee $350

  • Pay by credit/debit card online at https://www.fmjfee.com/i901fee/

  • Print out the SEVIS Fee payment receipt.
    4. Fill out the visa application form. (via web DS-160 Visa Application)

  • Fill out online system on the website from the link above

  • It is necessary to fill in the information correctly because after submitting the form, it cannot be edited.
    5. Make an appointment for a Visa interview (via the web CGI Federal)

  • Make an appointment for an interview via online system on the website from the link above

  • The MPLC assists in organizing an interview on the date that the student desires (student will be able to attend an interview the next day after noon after paying the visa fee)

  • Print out Appointment Confirmation.
    6. Travel to an interview at the US Embassy or Consulate by the appointment date (should arrive 30 minutes before)

  • Embassy of the United States of America in Thailand (BTS: Ploenchit Station Exit 2)

  • Consulate General of the United States of America, Chiang Mai
    7. Buy a plane ticket (The air ticket should be purchased after obtaining the visa.)

 

Documents to submit

  1. Current Passport with at least 6 months of remaining validity. In case of studying for more than 6 months, it is recommended to apply for a new Passport as well as all old Passports.

  2. Copy of house registration (the page that sees the page of the house registration book and the page that sees the name-surname of the applicant)

  3. Form I-20 or letter of acceptance from a US-issued institution

  4. The DS-160 visa application form that the visa applicant must fill out on the website (DS-160 Applicant Information Sheet) The information used to fill in is Student profile information and information of father and mother (name-surname, date of birth) including information according to I-20 to be correct

  5. 1 photo and photo file (.JPEG), size 2×2 inches, white background, 2 ears visible (can inform the photo shop that it is for US visa application)
    Interview confirmation letter (from the website Apply for a US visa) to wait for the visa interview queue at the American embassy in Thailand. Including the receipt of payment of the visa application fee

  1. Academic Transcript All academic transcripts. english version

  2. Degree Certificate / Student Status Certificate Graduation Certificate english version

  3. English Language Score (TOEFL/IELTS) for students applying for degree and professional programs

  4. Financial Support Documentation Documents certifying either own or sponsor finances

  5. A copy of the sponsor ID card and documentation of the relationship between the sponsor and the applicant

  6. Name-surname change document (if any)

 

Required account-related documents 

In the case of submitting personal financial evidence of the applicant

  1. work confirmation letter with salary english version

  2. Bank Letter / Bank Guarantee, with details that must be specified as Student name, account number, amount of baht, statement that this amount has been deposited more than 6 months, specify in US dollars USD (and can be withdrawn at any time for fixed deposit account)

  3. Passbook or Bank Statement for the past 6 months

 

If a parent or relative is used as a certifier

  1. Letter showing proof of work with salary / company registration letter (Owner)

  2. Copy of ID card, copy of house registration of the applicant and of the financial supporter

  3. Bank Letter / Bank Guarantee. The required details are: Applicant, name of financial supporter, account number, amount of baht, statement that this amount has been deposited more than 6 months, specify in US dollars USD and can withdraw at any time. for fixed deposit account

  4. Passbook or Bank Statement for the past 6 months

 

In case of funding from government or company      

  1. scholarship letter english version

  2. Letter showing proof of work with salary / company registration letter (Owner)
